Meet the Founders

Holly Carney

Holly Carney is the founder and president of Wicked Not! She is a writer, former middle school teacher, child advocate, mom and wife of pro-athlete, former NFL place kicker John Carney.

Holly’s volunteer efforts have substantially benefited the YMCA, Boy Scouts of America, Adult Literacy Corps, The American Red Cross, New Venture Christian Fellowship and many schools and school-based organizations. As a philanthropist, she and her husband John are co-founders of Dinner with the Pros, a charity that supports numerous needs in their local community. Holly also is a partner of Origin Entertainment Production Company, a broad-based film and television production company focused on producing transformative entertainment.

Passionate about teaching, Holly has developed enrichment programs for several different organizations, including: swim programs for all ages, cheerleading programs, and religious programs for middle school, high school and college ministries. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Education with a concentration in Reading.

Tim Foley

Tim Foley is a multi-Instrumentalist singer songwriter based in San Diego. He is the lead singer for the band Skelpin, who’s last album “Trip to Skye” won Best World Music Album at the 2010 San Diego Music Awards. His song, “The View” won grand prize in the World Music Category of the internationally acclaimed John Lennon Songwriting Contest, and “The Journey” was a finalist in the International Songwriting Contest.

Among other instruments, Tim plays the traditional Irish Uilleann Pipes and was featured in the Peter Weir film “Master & Commander: Far Side of The World” with Russell Crowe.

Tim Foley got his start studying saxophone with San Diego jazz legend Joe Marillo. He learned Uilleann pipes at University College Cork in Ireland with Mary Mitchell-Ingoldsby.

Tim is active in music education and was a co-producer and actor in the children’s TV show Kiosko! in 1997. The episode aired on KPBS and was nominated for an Emmy. The show’s focus is on music education, using various forms of music from around the world.

 

As a deeply spiritual person, Tim is also involved in music ministry within the Catholic and greater Christian Church.

 

He currently writes and performs with his solo project the “Tim Foley Band”

Luke Carney

Luke Carney is co-owner of Wicked Not!, working diligently to bring its message to the world. Luke offers practical insight and tips to children and youth of blended families. Raised in split homes his entire life, Luke’s mission is to help kids of blended families to thrive and succeed.

A leader and mentor, Luke engages young and old through his humor, humility and love of life. He is an avid athlete that has lettered in football, track and volleyball. Luke has studied business at Palomar College and is finishing his degree at Cal State San Marcos. He follows in the path of his parents, John and Holly Carney, and each year supports the family’s charity, Dinner with the Pros.
